Legal Protection From Domestic Violence — Guide for Ethiopian-Israeli Women
Any woman suffering domestic violence can receive a protection order the same day — regardless of visa status, length of marriage, or financial situation. The state must provide emergency housing and living expenses.
Rights for Ethiopian-Israeli Single Mothers
Single mothers receive guaranteed alimony from BTL, subsidised daycare (80–100%), priority housing, and professional retraining support. Some benefits do not require finalised divorce proceedings.
Nursing Benefit for the Elderly — Rights of Elderly Ethiopian-Israeli Parents
Elderly Ethiopian-Israelis who need help with daily activities are entitled to a nursing benefit from BTL — ₪4,000 to ₪9,000/month depending on care level. BTL social workers can conduct home visits.
Child Allowance — Full Rights 2026
Every child up to age 18 is entitled to child allowance. 2026: 162 ILS/month for the first child, increasing with each additional child.
High-Risk Pregnancy Benefit — Rights for Working Women
A woman ordered to bed rest by a doctor is entitled to 100% of her salary from NII directly. No employer approval needed.
